Annual Championship Obedience Show

Exeter Dog Training Club holds its annual two day Kennel Club licensed Obedience Show every late May Bank Holiday weekend, in Cullompton

This year's show is on 26th and 27th May 2018.  The Championship Show is on the Saturday and the Open Show on the Sunday.  Click on the hyperlinks for the Schedule and Entry Form.  Entires close on Wednesday 18th April.

You can now enter and pay online via With Your Dog We hope that many of our supporters will take advantage of this efficient and convenient way of entering.

In 2012 our Show was awarded Championship Obedience status, making it one of 46 shows that include a Championship Class C (Obedience Certificate), sometimes referred to as a 'ticket' class. Winning this class will qualify a dog to compete at the Crufts the following year. See the Kennel Club website for more information.

For further information please contact the Show Secretary using the form below

Our 2015 Show was on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May.

PDFA ('Paignton') Show

We also run an Open Obedience Show on behalf of Paignton & District Fanciers Association (PDFA), as part of their four day Championship Dog Show in early August at Westpoint, Clyst St Mary, near Exeter.  This year the Obedience Show is on Tuesday 9th August 2016.

Show Venue

Our Show venue is the Cullompton Community Association fields and Cullompton Rangers Football Club at Speed's Meadow in Cullompton.  Click to find the Show venue.

If you are new to the sport of competitive obedience and would like to find out more, start with the Kennel Club's Getting Started in Obedience and Why Not Try Obedience.

 Can you help?

The Show is made possible by the hard work of members, friends and families of both Exeter Dog Training Club and Cullompton Rangers Football Club.  Many hands make light work, so we are always on the look out for more helpers.

If you are interested in learning more about the world of competitive obedience, this is a good way to start.  If you are able to help with any of the following, please talk to a Committee Member or contact us
  • Setting up the venue (pitching tents, rings etc) on Friday.
  • Marshalling the venue on Saturday and/or Sunday.
  • Stewarding on Saturday and/or Sunday.
  • Packing away and clearing up after the show on Sunday.
